Description
One of the most undervalued books in the Marvel universe, this great issue features the classic Human Torch vs Sub-Mariner cover (by Kirby) and story. It is a very sharp 9.4 copy offered here, and it is the 6th best known one with its off-white to white pages, perfect registration, superior color strike, killer edges and secure staples. There is only one 9.8 and only 4 9.6's as of this writing and this copy is as close to 9.6 as you will ever get!! Now 56 years old and still as fresh as the month it hit the newsstands (January, 1963). Ridiculously hot book with record sales left and right. We sold a 9.2 for $4,500 in our June, 2018 Grand Auction, the high water mark for a 9.2. A 9.4 hasn't sold publicly since 2006!!!
