Description
Gorgeous 9.6 copy of Avengers #4. Tied as the second highest CGC certified and second finest existing. Not easy to find in 9.6 with only 3 graded higher (all in 9.8, one of which we sold in August, 2013 for $120,000). This obvious NM+ example (bordering on NM/M) has incredible color strike, fresh off-white pages, straight alignment, a perfect spine and NONE of the slight color flecking at the bottom front left corner (which is very common on this issue). This is the nicest copy structurally we have seen in a while and it's a puzzle that it's not the 4th 9.8 (take a look). The second to last publicly offered for sale 9.6 fetched $33,500 in May, 2015. A 9.8 just sold for A RECORD PRICE OF $143,400 in May, 2017. This NM+ is basically perfect and appears unread. Captain America Lives Again!
