Yes, there are 6 9.4 copies (and one 9.6!) certified higher, but what are the chances of prying one of those out these days and do you really want to spend half a million dollars?! This copy is BRILLIANT and has UNBELIEVEABLE color strike, no Marvel Chipping, a near-perfect cover, razor sharp edges, pointy corners, a KILLER, pretty much FLAWLESS spine, straight alignment and exceptional state of preservation. There is a date stamp on the front cover ("5-31") right to the right of the top word balloon. You just cannot fathom how pretty this early Marvel Age key really is until you see it up close. Features the first appearance and origin of Spider-Man by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko with a timeless and priceless Jack Kirby cover. This special comic book comes from Redondo Beach, California. Two brothers found it in their grandmother's dresser drawer sometime in the 90's. She was the original owner and they wound up selling it for her. The dealer who bought it also bought the other AF 15 that eventually slabbed a 9.2 that is in the private collection. He held onto the Redondo Beach copy because it was nicer looking in his opinion.
